Staton Companies was struggling with constant theft and vandalism at their headquarters in Eugene. With no way to identify any suspects, it seemed there was nothing that could be done. They realized that it was up to them to make a move to prevent crime on their property. With that, Staton Co. reached out to VTS for a video surveillance solution. They had worked with VTS before, previously having a phone system installed. VTS got to work designing the perfect system for the Staton Companies headquarters. In the end, VTS installed a full AXIS IP video surveillance system with 14 cameras with a total of 27 sensors and an AXIS camera station recorder. With this solution, those in charge at Staton Co. were able to see both real time and recorded footage from both their desktop and mobile apps. This solution included AXIS license plates cameras and Axis Object Analytics (AOA), perfect for capturing clear images of license plates and people for identification. In the first week after installation, Staton Co. was able to successfully stop a theft and ID a suspect. Police were able to make an arrest and charges were pressed. In the last year, they have been able to stop multiple thefts, resulting in arrests and charges.

When asked about his final thought on the AXIS camera system installed at Staton Companies, Dan Richey stated that if he could do it all over again, he would have done it sooner!
